THE COURSES

We’ll play six proper Hebridean links — tight, windy & honest. A real test of shot-making.

• Stornoway Golf Club (Lewis)
A classic, mature 18-hole links with stunning views over the Minch. One of the strongest tests in the Outer Hebrides.
• Scarista Golf Club (Harris)
Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful 9-hole courses in Britain. Dramatic Atlantic views & proper island golf at its best.
• Benbecula Golf Club
Proper old-school machair golf. Play right beside a white-sand beach with the Atlantic crashing beside you.
• Askernish Golf Club (South Uist) ★
The big one. Laid out in 1891 by the legendary Old Tom Morris (4-time Open Champion). Lost for decades and faithfully restored in 2008. One of the purest, most natural links experiences in the world.
• Barra Golf Club (my home course)
The machair. Dramatic Atlantic views & proper island golf at its best.
The grand finale. Home course of Ryder Cup star Robert MacIntyre.• Glencruitten Golf Club (Oban)
A cracking, hilly parkland/links hybrid with stunning views over Oban Bay.
Everyone's welcome from the amateur to the professional ...
